We have some exciting news for you this month:-
Opening times Bank Holiday weekends.
Saturday 10am to 5pm
Sunday 10am to 4pm
Monday 10am to 4pm
Well May is nearly here already and things are warming up. This week we have released hundreds of new koi ready for this coming weekend. Most are tosai (up to 1 year old) and are priced from £15 to £495 so something for everyone we hope. They are being held at 17c, so we ask that they go to ponds of 14c or above for the health of the koi. We have after popular demand introduced multi-buy options on most koi giving massive savings, so very tempting you will find. You will find a wide selection of varieties so again something for everyone. These koi have been here at Richdon since early February, fully quarantined and in most cases grown on that bit further so a better buy for your money.
Return from Japan
Well our trip to Japan the other week has certainly been a fruitful one with so many koi being selected
They are all here now and in their strict 4 week quarantine, with NO public access or viewing, parasitic control, heated up to 24c for two weeks before being cooled down ready for sale May Bank holiday weekend 24,25 & 26th of May. This special weekend we are calling our Tategoi weekend, with hundreds of VERY special koi on offer. Some of which you have the opportunity to see them grow in our specially built 50,000gallon growing pond, which is already today at 19c naturally!
Japanese Maples return
Well after two years we have decided to stock Japanese Maples again. These will be on-sale from this weekend. If you have been looking for that special feature by your koi pond then for sure we have some very special specimens to enhance your garden and pond.
Come along and see our display, as these are for sale only via collection, or if you live close to us and larger trees we can deliver for a fee. We cannot however offer a courier service as these trees are too delicate. You also get 5% discount with being a Richdon Koi Club member and loyalty points towards koi too!
Some of the larger trees on offer, prices start at around £30 upwards for smaller trees.
East Midlands auction weekend. 18th May, here next door to Richdon Koi
More details can be found here-EMKC
Collections of over wintered koi.
If you have a koi with us this winter then PLEASE let us know when you intend to come and collect your koi. We need to condition each koi ready for collection and move down from the holding ponds to the fish house. This will also give us chance to make sure your koi is 100% before you travel etc.
There is NO rush as the weather has not been so good in April, but we do ask where ever possible all koi are collected by the end of May, unless instructed otherwise.
Please contact us via email, as this will be easier to reply too when enquiring about your koi.
If you have already contacted us via phone then we ask you let us know via email too, so we can organise collections easier.
Nexus deals
If you are thinking of a Nexus this Spring then look no further. Richdon Koi is the place to buy your Nexus as we will price match any documented offer PLUS you can claim your loyalty points too.
We can also advise how to fit these units correctly, supply off the shelf pumps, pipework etc ALL of which you claim loyalty points with some people having over £300 to spend on koi at one of the best facilities in the UK!
WEEKEND VISITING ONLY.
We are still too busy during the week to open weekdays. We also feel this is a time for the koi in our fish-house time to rest after a busy weekend. Our mail order side of things is growing more and more, with people wanting great prices and service.
Our phone lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday and the same as our opening times at the weekend. If you do wish to visit us during the week then please phone first! We do try to accomodate those who just turn up during the week but there are times when this is beyond our control and we sadly have to turn people away.
See you Soon
The Richdon Koi Team
